Love this plane. I am thinking of some of the changes I have seen here but not sure I even need to. this is the plane I am going to start my 5 yr old grandson on.

Wish I could say I was a fan like everyone else. I have had the plane for 3 months and have maybe flown it 3 times for less than 5 minutes. It has the same flight characteristics regardless of what I do, right and down. I have balanced the CG at 73, 78 and 75 ... nothing. Not sure what my problem is, but I am about ready to melt it down!!

Your site is a big help and condenses most of the 21 threads in RCGroups.com on this wonderful airplane that is so versital. I love flying the EasyStar and will probably have one in my fleet as long as I am flying. Thanks for putting this all together.

Hallo,

The E Star is a cool, fun plane to fly. I can fly it for over an hour using a 2000mah LiPo battery. Lots of fun and great power and that setup!

Well its been said all before, but I'm going to say it again !!!
Prior to my ES I had tried to teach myself to fly with a balsa speed 400 job. I had literally about 10 flights in 2 years, the rest was repair. I was about to give, the FSM program is great but nothing like the balsa ship I had. I was convinced I could not fly.
Then out of desperation I decide to try a foamy, and in came the ES to the rescue. I have had about 10 flights now in two months, no crashes, just easy flying. Its not fast, unpredictable, just a pleasure. I'm more relaxed as I realise that a mistake wont result in 3 months of ribcutting and balsa cement !
The only criticism is that it just keeps gliding !!!!!

Hey easyfans!
I'm also another rookie-pilot that is totally nuts about my easy!!! Bought mine 3'rd hand for like 60$ with everything. The fuselage had been repaired 3 places before (broken tail, main body and wing support) and the nose and motorcage was packed in gaffa tape. Flew it the first 2 times(first time kamikaze-style and second time perfect) as it was, and then I did some drastic restoration and modifications: removal off all gaffa tape, new elevator with hinges, new motorcage, and fuselage-wing-rudder-tail reinforcement with the miracle tape(UD-fiber tape). My easybird looked like new again. It has a perma480 and with LiPo(11.1V) and a new propeller it was kicking a… But remember I’m still a rookie. After a little training in the FMS-program I could do real-time both inside- and outside loops, a kind of a roll, touch’n’goes and I’m still working on my invert flight. Anyway I have had some great crashes including a beautiful emergency vertical landing in 25knots wind from 40ft with full throttle – BANG the nose splitted up in 4 pieces and the tail broke in a new place but after some pulling, twisting, taping and gluing I was airborn again after 20 minutes– incredible robustness. I have flown the easy with 30knots of wind, in rain, even flew it in a fence 2 times but it just refuses to disappoint me. I have had the plane for like 3 weeks and I just can’t get enough of it. Yesterday I putted my digital camera onboard(just tape it on the cockpit without the canopy) and got the coolest video footage
)
I just want to add that detract-online.de has been a great inspiration source. Thaxxxx guys!
Future plans:
• new fuselage
• carbon reinforcements
• more power
• more speed
• shorter wings(ANYBODY TRIED IT!?!)
• larger rudder
• larger elevator
Cheers, Greeky
